This is the last time i will blog until next year 2014 so i want to wish everyone a merry christmas and I finished the fellowship of the ring wich was a great book and i really enjoyed it so yeah have a good break and remember to read every once in a while

Events

There might not be a n extreme amount of video game talk for about a week because of holidays and also i am binge watching on Netflix as well as going to see a few movies one of which was the second out of three movies by the name of The Hobbit. The movie was very good and cotinued the story very well it stayed loyal to the book to some extent but also branched off and was very good, there was one scene in Mirkwood involving bilbo and a baby spider which was one of my favorite scenes because of what it represented for the serise

What I have been playing recently

Aside from both Dark Souls and Demon's Souls i have been playing a little bit of Monster Hunter freedom unite as well as Grand Theft Auto 5. I have been having a great time playing all of these games I recently resarted on GTA5 in order to add a portion of challange to how everything is progressing as well as on Monster Hunter i have restarted to play the game using lances.

Long and rambling

The next couple of bosses i have to fight are fairly straight foward so i dont know about posting full acounts of them there is 4kings a boss that spawn multiple copies of itself, there is gravlord Nito how is really easy, there is Seath the scaleless who requires a death in order to win on the second time through and will curse you, and there is bed of chaos the worst boss in the game it is a luck based boss and is just a gimick to know how bad it is lets just say the developers apologized for it. I have beaten all of this already i am just accounting all of it for you lets see i died 2ce on 4kings 1ce on nito and 5 times on bed of chaos. I dont know i kinda want to change the di rection of this blog from challange runs to just discusions about video games and what im playing.

Orenstien and Smough

Anor Lando's second phase is a very treacherous area that is filled with the loyal servents of Lord Gwyn the silver knights. this area is fairly straight foward just go up and down stairs untill you reach the large room with giant vangaurds. It is however where you can invade Lautrec the embrassed using the black eye orb if you let him kill the firelink keeper.another interesting thing about this place is that the boss here has two stages first there is a stage where you are attacked by two large enemies and the a second phase where one of the two will kill the other and absorb his power becoming even more dangerous. I died first time through but luckily got some help from a summon.

Anor Londo

Anor Londo is the city of the gods and it is made for two groups of people giants and humans. There are many many things thaty can easily kill you here there is a section that you have to do walking across very narrow rafters, there are two gargoyales after that which are the same as the ones in the undead perish except more health armour that is in better condition and also the have a lightning element that they add to the fight, after this is over and done the are two giants that await you at the top of the stairs climbing to the great keep and since the door is locked you must climb around the right side of the castle's ledging untill you come to the second largest pracktical joke in the game. The joke is that there is a small rail you have to run across with the possabilaty of being knocked off, the second and worst part of this is there are two archers with greatbows whose arrows happen to curve slightly and the thing is these arn't ordinary arrows oh no that would be all too easy these arrows have a very large knock back meaning if you ar hit with one you are blown off the edge and die even if you block. so yeah i got trough that and i rested at the bonfire. easy goin from here.

Blighttown Down

Now that I am finished with everything in blighttown I beat Chaos witch Quelage. After this I did Sen's Fortress or (funhouse). I easily made my way to the top of the fort and summoned tarkus for the fight.Tarkus is one of the two best NPC's in dark souls along with paladin leeroy. Tarkus beat the gollum with ease. now i have arrived at Anor Londo.

Onwards to Blight Town

After I beat Capra I moved down to onwards and opened a short cut to firelink shrine. After this I went down to New Londo ruins in order to open a short route to Blight Town. After this I ran down thorugh a good deal of enemies dodging toxic blowdarts as I progressedI then arrived at the base which is a swamp that has been polluted and is poisonous. I defeated an NPC invader by the name of Maneater Milldread. After she was dead i rested at a bonfire located there and began to farm the slug creatures that have a good chance to drop five green titenite at a time this is handy as I will soon make a fire weapon.

This last bit of time I have been playing Dark Souls I defeated the capra demon which is a demon with two very large machettes with a goat head. I suffered my first death by his hand; I got over zelous rushed in and payed the price however the second time I came back remembered what game I was playing and beat him. Other than that really quick boss battle I have been playing through the game with some friends takin it easy haven fun.

Now I will talk about the tree figures that found the first flame. First was Lord Gwyn he lead an army or huminoid knights in silver armor. Gwyn was a "god" of sunlight and used his sunlight bolts to tear apart apart the dragon's stone scales. Next came the Witch of Izalith who found the life soul and used her mighty fire sorceries to burn the dragons' arch tree homes. Now with their scales of immortality gone and their home burned death was all that awaited them and Nito the gravelord first of the dead is the one who delivered that fatal blow. Nito unleashed a miasma of death and diseasae upon the dragons. However none of this could have ben possiable if not for two things first the primevil lords findinf the souls of life, death, and light and secondly it would have been impossable if Seath the Scaleless had not betrayed his brothers out of jelousy for their scales. Seath took the pimordial crystal and with it the dragons' ability to not suffer wounds in battle. If you have been paying atention there is a piece missing from the puzzle there is life, death, and light, however there was a forth soul found within the first flame. It was found by a pigmy and it was the dark soul. The pygmy then used his dark soul as the age of fire was failing to split and give birth to humans this is evedint in the way that every humanity that is inside every human is a fragment of the dark soul.

My next area to complete is the darkroot garden this is the area with the hydra and the Moonlight Butterfly. This area is fairly easy when you know how to fight the hydra. And the moonlight butterfly will only give you trouble if you do not summon the assisstant in the area by the name of Witch Beatrice. I flew through this area pretty fast so I appologize there isn't alot i could do more with this area.

Yesterday when I returned I went dirctly to the blacksmith. I bought alot of titanite sheards from him so i could upgrade some armor and my wepons. then I set out for the darkroot garden which I reached by walking down a very step path made onto a cliff side. There i retrived the knights armor set with which i will use the chest plate of. I then ran for my life as the armor was by a hydra which I narrowly survived. I then made my usual scavaging run through the rest of the forest only fightin what was nesasary to proceed in the run i procured the wolf ring the elite knight aromor set and also a descent amount of souls. I then returned to the blacksmith which took longer as i was over burdened by my heavy armor. I was able to upgrade all my armor to at least 3/10 except my chest which went to 6/10. I then climbed the church killed the channaler whitch is a mage with the abilaty to grant a damage boost to enemies around him. Then i approched the fog door through the fog door was my second boss fight, the gargoyales, which is tough because after the first drops below half health the second gargoyale drops from the bell tower in order to shift the odds against you, however i used my pyromancies and my upgraded hand axe and kept my cool.

Side Tricked: Lore beginings.

Dark Souls Lore

I figured I would take the time in order to discuss some of the lore within dark soul. First off I will probably make this a series because there is too much lore in video games especialy dark souls to cover in one post. Now I'm going to start from the begining. In the begining the land was nothing but grey and everything was as strong and solid as stone. The only things that could live on the surface during these times were dragons  with their stone scales of immortality and the Arch trees in which the dragons lived in/upon. However three other beings living in their caves underground found a flame and the source of the flame were items by the names of the lord souls. The lord souls then infused those who took them with incredible power . And with this new found power and an ally in Seath the Scaleless the challanged the dragons and all but exterminated them. Then using the power of the lord souls Gwyn ushered in an era of light but with all light it fades and eventualy darkness is the only thing that will remain.

The Undead Parish

Part 1

This weekend I made a great deal of progress. I started at the last section of the bur where you talk to Soliare. I made my way across the dragon bridge to a small room where I was able to kick a ladder down and rest at the bonfire in the burg. I then went back onto the dragon bridge and very quickly jumped to the other side where i was safe from the dragon's pyre. Then I baited the dragon down from his perch and as he landed I ran through his legs and into a small keep where I would be safe. Then as i proceded up some stairs i found a group of hollowed soilders and a large boar monster that has extremly thick armor. I ran past all of these to an area where one of the hollows would close a gate and cut me off but I beat him to it and killed him then sley the armored beast with a plunging attack. I then procceded to an area where a new player would encounter a new enemy by the name of Balder Knight. I killed them then procceded to the second bonfire in the Parish which is located near a blacksmith wom i will get to upgrade my equipment tomarrow.

Yesterday I completed the undead burg and killed Taurous Deamon i had some close calls and almost suffered my first death. The boss of the level is the Taurous Demon which is a large bull headed demon with an axe. This boss is notorious because it can give new players alot of trouble. The undead burg's design is that of a town that is down a mountian from the city of the gods named Anor Lando. The people who lived in the burg were most likely servents and worshipers that wanted to live close to their gods. The gods in Dark Souls are not necessarily higher beings the are talented warriors and people who have come across power.

I have now just made it to the undead burg and freash out of Firelink I rushed through axe in hand and finished off all the hollows up untill the undead merchant. I purchased the orenge sign soapstone and the bottomless box which I can use to store gear I'm not using at the moment I rested at the bonfire and today after school I will fight the Tarous Demon.

The Asylum

I started as a level one pyromancer and escaped the undead asylum which is an area where the church of Thorolond locks away people who become undead and are immortal. I plan on using a long sword upgraded to lightning and probably a kite shield. the Asylum demon didnt prove to be a challange as he never does i brezzed through and i plan on moving to the upper burg today after school to confront the tarous deamon.

The Beginning

The strong start

For an undetermined amount of time I will be playing the game Dark Souls it is made by Fromsoftware and published by Namco Bandi. It is a challanging game that I express my creative thoughts in by coming up with a variaty of challanges. This game is infamous for being one of the most challanging games of this half of console generation 7. So this will be fun for me and provide quiet the challange. For my first challange run i will go through the entire game/dlc at level 1. I will keep you updated as i finish areas and defeat bosses. See you guys next time!
